We've made it as far as learning about the mixolydian mode, which in its basic form is the white note scale from G to G.

This mode can be found on lots of pop, rock and blues music as it includes a very cool flattened seventh at the top of the scale, compared with its major equivalent.

You probably already know a piece of music that uses the mixolydian mode - "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. Right at the end of the song Paul McCartney uses the mixolydian mode to create a blues chorus that we all love to sing along with.
